Steps to Forming an LLC with MaxFilings
We have done our very best to make forming your LLC with MaxFilings as quick and easy as possible. You can follow the 10 steps in our order system below to enter the necessary information and place your LLC formation order in minutes. (Or, if you prefer, you can save information as it is entered and come back to enter more later.)
1. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
Indicate the entity you wish to form (select type of corporation or LLC).
2. CHOOSE ENTITY & STATE
You will select the state in which you wish to form your LLC.
We offer information to help you decide on which state to form your business in.
3. SERVICE LEVEL
At this step, you will choose which of our 3 packages best fits your needs and any optional items you want to include. Each of our packages includes preparation and filing of the appropriate documents with the state necessary to form your LLC.
A description of each product or service is available, and our straightforward, upfront pricing makes it easy for you to see exactly what everything will cost. All applicable state fees are included in our prices so you won’t later encounter any “hidden” surprises when you go to place your order.

4. COMPANY NAME & ACTIVITY
You will enter your first choice for the name of your LLC as well as a second choice to be used in case your first choice is not available. You will also enter a brief description of the kind of business your company will be conducting.
5. CONTACT INFORMATION
Enter name, address, telephone, and email for yourself as well as for your business. Provide your shipping address in case materials related to your order need to be shipped to you.
6. LLC MEMBERS
Names and addresses of the LLC’s members are entered here.
7. LLC MANAGEMENT
Indicate whether the LLC will be member managed or manager managed and, if the latter, enter the manager names and addresses.
8. REGISTERED AGENT
You will be asked whether or not you want MaxFilings to provide you with registered agent service. If not, you should enter the name and address of your registered agent.
9. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
You should enter the names and addresses of any members and/or managers that could not be entered in Steps 6 & 7. Also enter any special instructions you may have.
10. ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Any additional services that may be applicable can be added here.
FINALIZE & PAY
The final step is to confirm your order summary and enter payment information (we accept most major credit cards). Until you decide to place an order with MaxFilings, there is no charge to use the system to organize your LLC information.
Good to Know…
- When you click to Order, you will first be asked if you want to create a username. (You can do so at any time but doing so immediately insures that all information you have entered and saved will be there when you return.)
- You will then begin the MaxFilings 10 Easy Steps to setting up your business. You will be able to click on any step at any time to enter the information required. (Each step will show a check mark after all required information has been entered for that step. We think you will find that to be a big help.)
- Be sure to click “Save and Continue” after you enter information at each step.
