The following is not an attempt to present all you need to know when forming a corporation in Missouri but rather to call your attention to just some of the basic information and requirements you may want to know as you submit information to form your corporation.

Missouri corporation name:
A Missouri corporation’s name shall contain the word "Corporation", "Company", "Incorporated", or "Limited", or an abbreviation thereof, and it must be distinguishable from other business entities’ names existing or authorized to transact business in accordance with the laws of the state. The name cannot contain any word or phrase that indicates or implies it is a governmental agency or that it is organized for any purpose other than those allowed by Missouri law.
Missouri corporation board of directors:
A Missouri corporation’s board of directors shall consist of one or more persons with the number specified in, or fixed in accordance with, the articles of incorporation or bylaws.
There are no qualifications directors must meet other than as may be prescribed in the corporation’s articles of incorporation or bylaws.
Missouri corporation officers:
A Missouri corporation shall have a president and a secretary, who shall be chosen by the board of directors, and such other officers and agents as may be prescribed by the corporation’s bylaws. The same person may simultaneously hold more than one office unless the articles of incorporation or bylaws otherwise provide.
Missouri corporation shareholders’ and directors’ meetings:
A shareholders’ meeting for the election of directors shall be held annually on a day fixed by the corporation in its bylaws. If no such day is so provided, the annual shareholders’ meeting shall be held on the second Monday in January. Special shareholders’ meetings may be called by the board of directors or by such other person(s) as may be authorized by the corporation’s articles of incorporation or bylaws. Shareholders’ meetings may be held at such place, in or out of the state, as may be provided in the bylaws. In the absence of such provisions, shareholders’ meetings shall be held at the corporation’s registered office in Missouri.
Board of directors’ meetings may be held in or out of Missouri unless otherwise provided in the corporation’s articles of incorporation or bylaws.
